Kalano Community Association Inc. is a community-controlled organisation representing four member communities:

Rockhole, Miali Brumby, Geyulkgan, and Katherine Town.

Membership helps ensure these communities have a strong voice in Kalano’s governance, decision-making and future direction.

What is Kalano Membership?

Membership lets you be part of Kalano’s decision-making. As a member, you are entitled to attend, speak and vote at general meetings of the Association.

Each of Kalano’s member communities holds bi-monthly Community Engagement Meetings (CEMs) throughout the year. These meetings give members a chance to:

  • Share concerns, ideas and community priorities
  • Hear updates on housing, programs and projects
  • Work together with Kalano staff and leadership
  • Raise community issues in a safe and respectful space
  • Help guide decisions that affect their community

CEMs are an important way for Kalano to stay connected, listen to community voices and make sure our work reflects what community wants and needs.

Who Can Become a Member?

You can apply to be a member if you:
