Kalano’s Housing, Municipl and Essential Services (HMES) Team plays a vital role in keeping our communities safe, clean, and well maintained. Their work includes a wide range of day-to-day and ongoing activities, such as:

  • Providing regular garbage collection and street cleaning to support a healthier, cleaner community environment.
  • Maintaining parks, ovals, and public areas to ensure they remain safe, accessible, and welcoming for everyone.
  • Responding to plumbing and electrical maintenance issues, including coordinating specialist contractors when required.
  • Carrying out general housing repairs and maintenance.
  • Strengthening preventative maintenance programs to reduce recurring issues and improve the long-term condition of community assets.
